Back in Tokyo……on the cheap!
Back in Tokyo for a few days and decided to make this one on the cheap just for the hell of it. I felt bad spending an extra day on the company dime just to work on Power Points so decided to avoid the $400 a night hotels and return to my roots, the Shinjuku Washington Hotel. This is the first Hotel I ever stayed at in Japan (1988) and I always liked it, great location, good mix of western and Japanese, and it’s downright cheap. A super clean but small room with free high speed Internet is only $86 booked online even with today’s horrible U.S. exchange rates. I like to save additional money by bringing my own single service packs of instant coffee with sugar & cream included, $2.60 for a pack of 22 from Ranch 99 market. Grab some awesome cheap pastries at the local Tokyo mart and you have breakfast for days.
You get a small but complete bathroom that’s sort of a pod that you step up into. What more do you need?
